Achievement Standards Network™ (ASN™)
JES & Co. collaborated with professor Stuart Sutton at the Information School, University of Washingon, and created the ASN through NSF awards DUE-0121717, DUE-0840740. The ASN provides access to machine-readable representations of learning objectives published by education agencies and organizations. In 2012, the ASN received subsequent support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
As of February 2014, the ASN is owned and operated by D2L Corporation.
The Gateway to 21st Century Skills
JES & Co. took over the administration of the Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM) in 2005 from the U.S. Department of Education and transformed it into The Gateway to 21st Century Skills. Sponsored by the National Education Association (NEA) for many years, The Gateway served NEA's 3.2 million teachers nationwide by providing educators with quick and easy access to thousands of educational resources found on various federal, state, university, non-profit and commercial Internet sites. In 2013, The Gateway to 21st Century Skills was retired.
In 2016, The Gateway's domain was transferred to the Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County.
Partnership for 21st Century Skills
JES & Co., through its efforts in co-founding The Partnership for 21st Century Skills, brought together a vast array of participants from all facets of the educational enterprise to promote and discuss how technology impacts our nation's education system.
Intel Student Certification Program
By sponsoring the publishing of high school appropriate curriculum, teacher training, and student kits, Intel enabled JES & Co. to reach out and provide these materials to classrooms across the country.
Microsoft Partners in Learning
JES & Co. was selected as a National Affiliate for the U.S. rollout of Microsoft Partners in Learning aimed at K-12 schools.
Dell Academy
The Dell Academy A+ Program is a semester long course which includes everything a school, district, or state needs to deploy A+ certification curriculum, all while matching workforce development objectives. JES & Co. helped create and deliver the A+ certification materials to schools nationwide.
Managed Learning System
The Managed Learning System ® (MLS) set the standard for technology in education. Developed by JES & Co., MLS was an open-system, standards-based research and development environment that provided the framework for all elements of an educational IT system to communicate and interoperate.
